How to store your paintballs

Paintballs must be stored correctly until your next game, to perform properly.  By properly maintaining your paintballs this will ensure they're ready to go whenever you want to play.

Paintballs are perishable goods, i.e. they have an intended life span, they are made of biodegradable components that are intended to break down over time. Lukcily, if stored correctly, that shelf life can be very long.

This means your paintballs can’t be tossed aside without caring for them properly, and then expecting them to shoot flawlessly next time.  Paintball boxes normally have the instructions for starge on there, but how many times have you read them? You've shot all those boxes and not read it once have you?

In general the best practices are below:

      • Keep the paintballs stored in a dry, cool place. Let the paint get too cold and it'll get brittle and won't go through your gun. Let it get to warm and it'll get soft and won't break on impact.
      • If you're storing full boxes of paintballs, try to otate them over time. to avoid flat spots developing. If the paint is not round, it won't shoot straight
      • If you're storing paintballs that have been opened, you should try store them in airtight containers or zip lock bags to keep the humudit at bay.
