Know Your Equipment
Practice using the equipment you use regularly, it is important to get to know all of your equipment including the paintball marker. You also need to be able to strip and reassemble your paintball gun in case it ever needs quick maintenance while you are on the battlefield. To learn about your equipment you can read the user manual or find some video tutorials on YouTube.
Learn a Field
If there is a field you play at regularly you should learn it as much as you can. Try and find some maps of the field and learn where everything is. Take a stroll through the field and think about what you are seeing, this will make you much better prepared, and you will know the field better than most other players. Eventually you will know where all the major trees, creeks and hills are which will give you a much better chance of dominating everyone else on the field.
Find out Your Body’s Limitations
While you are practicing try out a few moves such as dives and rolls to see what you can do. It is better to try and do these while practicing, rather than trying them on the battlefield and injuring yourself. While doing this you can also test your positioning including quickly diving onto your front and back up again. Increasing your lung capacity can improve your game a great deal.
Learn Some New Tactics
Learning some new paintball tactics is a great way to improve your game, do some research into different tactics available and find out what works best for you. If you go on YouTube you can easily find out what other players are doing, then you can test out different tactics on the battlefield and find out what works for you and what doesn’t.
