Summer Paintball Events

Paintball is a much-loved and increasingly popular sport, which has rapidly risen to prominence in recent years. As paintball has grown in popularity, a number of exciting annual events have sprung up around the country for devotees of the game. Some of the more major fixtures are considered something to look forward to all year by the game's more serious and devoted players, but many are also great opportunities for relative newcomers to immerse themselves more deeply in the world of paintball. Some of the best, most unmissable events for paintball lovers this summer include: North v South Paintball Festival When: Friday 1st - Sunday 3rd May 2015 Where: Defence Training Estate, Swynnerton, Staffordshire What: An age-old rivalry now has the chance to get fought out through paintball. Thankfully, the North vs the South is an entirely friendly rivalry, so a good time is sure to be had by all. But over the years, the festival has grown far beyond this simple conflict and for 2015 it offers three important events that paintball enthusiasts will no doubt be keen to attend. On the Friday, the Evasion Night Challenge will see competitors make their way across a difficult, trap-laden landscape with limited ammo in the dark of the night. On Saturday, foreign attendees will join forces to try to take down the UK players in the UK Versus Scenario Game. Finally, on Sunday, North and South will take up arms against one another in the biggest game in UK history - a scenario game which sees them race to find a cure for a deadly virus. Paintfest 2015 When: Friday 24th - Sunday 26th July 2015 Where: NPF Bassets Pole, Nr. Birmingham, West Midlands What: Paintfest is one of the biggest annual events in the paintball calendar. This year's three-day event is bigger and better than ever. It will play host to a number of fantastic games with inventive and fantastic scenarios such as Vampires vs Humans. On top of this, Paintfest 2015 will offer live music and dancing, a barbecue cookout contest, a movie night and a 'Dust 'til Dawn' party. There will also be a pro shop for those who want to take the opportunity to upgrade and expand their collection of equipment, and plenty of opportunity to socialise with other enthusiasts. Mayhem Big Game 2015 When: Friday 28th - Sunday 30th August Where: Mayhem Paintball, Abridge, Essex What: The Mayhem Big Game is a popular event from Mayhem Paintball in Essex which takes place every year. Across three days, the venue will play host to a huge, hectic, action-packed frenzy of paintballing. It's not just about playing great games, though. There will be some of the biggest traders in the UK in attendance selling a fantastic range of equipment. There will be free camping facilities, fantastic catering, and a number of paid photographers in attendance with their photos provided to attendees free of charge. This is a fantastic all-round event representing a great, huge-scale game, an important social opportunity, and a chance to shop for the best equipment around.
